Hovells Stores Est. 1864
Hovells is a family owned and run independent retail business based in Norwich specialising in the sale of lifestyle furniture with a selection of gifts and accessories. Hovells has been in business for over 145 years as our story tells. We have two stores, one in Norwich on Barker Street next to Go Outdoors (previously MFI), the other in Lowestoft on London Road South. Our warehouse with Head Office is on Weston Road in Norwich.
Originally established in 1864 as a wicker manufacturer, Hovells has evolved through basket retailing into a furniture retail business complemented by a range of furnishings gifts and accessories. Our store in Barker Street opened in October 2001 when we relocated from Norwich City Centre and our latest store in Lowestoft opened in December 2006.
Hovells now offers the largest range of lifestyle furniture available from stock. Most items are available to take away today either from our stores or warehouse in Weston Road. However, if you cannot take your purchase away then delivery can be arranged. Unlike most furniture retailers we hold enormous stocks so we can supply most items immediately - why wait!
