This double pedestal desk from our Vancouver range is a neat size, just short of 5ft in width which give you a considerable amount of work surface to stand a computer screen and keyboard. This desk would also make a good sewing table with space enough to cut out your fabric, drawers to keep scissors, tape measures and patterns to hand. It could also be used as a television stand if you need something a little taller than the usual tv table in a bedroom. Made from solid reclaimed oak, the desk is delivered to you already assembled. As with all reclaimed oak, expect to see marks in the wood from the timber's previous life.

How does the extending table extend. Is it an automatic system? (Anon)The extending tables in this range work by sliding the two halves apart on the robust smooth mechansim, revealing a hidden 'butterfly' extension. This means the full thickness extension piece is concealed under the table when not in use and simply folds out from the attached custom-made metal carriage when you need the extra space. In this way you do not remove the leaf and do not have to store it elsewhere.
I understand that Vancouver is delivered fully assembled. Does this apply to the tables as well? (Anon)The tables are delivered with the legs removed as it makes for simpler delivery and also getting the table through doorways. All the bolts and fittings come with the table and should only take a few minutes to put on. Be aware that Vancouver is made from solid wood, so you may need someone to help you with fitting the legs and putting the table upright.
