This Vermont 4'6" double bedframe is made from traditional oak which is treated with a natural lacquer to protect the surface and emphasise the grain texture. All bedframes in the Vermont range benefit from an integral head and footboard which adds to the stability and strength overall. Bedframes which come with a headboard which you then attatch to the frame do tend to form stress points and gradually break away from the rest of the frame. The Vermont range is sturdy and stylish.
